Pavla Vykopalová is “one of the most remarkable Czech singers of our time” (Opera News magazine). Her extensive repertoire includes music of all genres and styles, from Baroque opera to works of the twentieth century (Mozart’s Donna Elvira, Fiordiligi, Vitellia, Pamina, and the Countess; Dvorak’s Rusalka; Smetana’s Mařenka; Puccini’s Mimi, Liu, and Lauretta; Leoncavallo’s Nedda; Offenbach’s Antonia; Martinů’s Paskalina and Julietta; Janacek’s Jenůfa and Míla; Verdi’s Desdemona; Bizet’s Micaela; Strauss’s Rosalinda, etc.)
She is a regular soloist with the Janáček Opera in Brno, and a permanent guest of the Prague National Theatre and Prague State Opera. She has also collaborated with Opera Mozart and performed in Janáček’s Jenůfa in the Chatelet Theatre in Paris.
She has sung in many concerts with foremost Czech and foreign orchestras under the baton of outstanding conductors such as Jiří Kout, Jiří Bělohlávek, Leopold Hager, and Eliahu Inbal. She has recorded several compact discs for Multisonic, Orfeo, and Rosa.
